Obelisk to Timofey Kirillovich Borisyonok
Timofey Borisyonok is known to have been at the most dangerous section of the front, where the enemy was breaking through towards Murmansk, in September 1941 as a Senior Political Commissar in the 14th Infantry Division. Fierce fighting began on 7 September. Timofey Borisyonok joined the counter-attacks by the infantrymen of the second battalion of the 95th Infantry Regiment. He was seen amid the most violent clashes. He would raise the soldiers into attacks, pistol in hand. On 14 September 1941 Political Commissar Timofey Borisyonok died valiantly in an unequal battle as he and his comrades were holding an unnamed hill on the 85th day on the war.
