Monument to the Soviet Soldiers, Liberators of the Pechenga Land

One of the obelisks dedicated to the Soviet amphibius assault forces that liberated Liinahamari on 13 October 1944. The forced entry operation was performed at a high level and was a total success: the seaport’s environs and important coastline roads were cleared of the enemy, and the Petsamo town was stormed and recaptured on the following day.
