Titovka Line local history exhibition

The museum was opened by the staff of a campsite in Staraya Titovka. It is located at the centre of historic events and is directly terrain-associated. It is essentially a guide to the Titovka District. In this connection is was named Titovka Line Public Museum of Local History. During the years of its existence it acquired numerous exhibits and became a local place of interest. The Titovka museum embodies many years’ work by many people who strove to reconstruct the course of events in the first days of the war and during the border battle on the Titovka river, and to perpetuate the Soviet soldiers’ feat. It united a set of locations related to the Titovka events, including Elevation 206.0 with a memorial in the form of a monument, intending cross and an Orthodox chapel; Elevation 189.3 and the 257.2 Angle Hill with their heroically defended permanent emplacements. They also include the southern bridge whose remnants are located in front of the museum; a monument to the soldiers killed in the Titovka battles; and a fragment of the Nazi cableway. It is open to visitors every day, and locked for the night. Admission is free.
